Title: The Pub Channel
The Pub Channel is a television channel produced exclusively for the licensed trade. Broadcast on Sky digital channel 881, the channel is on air 18-hours a day - 8am until 2am, Monday to Friday.
 
The channel contains programmes designed to help you and your business. From training (produced in association with the British Institute of Innkeeping) to trade shows, The Pub Channel team are out in the licensed trade day-in, day-out to bring you new and exclusive programmes

What's new in wine, sports promotions, great marketing ideas and insights into the key issues facing the trade - The Pub Channel (Sky's free-to-view channel exclusively for the licensed trade) has all this information and more at the times to suit you on Sky digital channel 881 between 8am and 2am Monday to Friday.

It's also worth remembering, The Pub Channel broadcasts training programmes (produced in association with the British Institute of Innkeeping) to help you and your staff gain valuable, and professionally recognised, qualifications. The Barperson's National Certificate and the Professional Barperson's Qualification will soon be joined by the BII's National Certificate for Licensees course on Drugs Awareness - and watch this space, as more BII-accredited training programmes will be broadcast throughout this year

  • London Wine & Spirits Fair
    We report from wine's main trade event in the UK, the London Wine & Spirit Fair, held in London. Our wine expert will provide you with a personal guide to the show, what's new, what's different and what the suppliers are up to now and in the near future. So don't worry if you didn't make it to the show yourself, our half-hour programme will bring you a taste of all that's good for your wine list. See the listings at the back of this issue for programme times.
     
  • Sports Talk

  • Drugs Awareness: produced in association with the British Institute of Innkeeping, this programme is based upon the National Certificate for Licensees (Drugs Awareness) qualification for licensees in England and Wales. It provides guidelines on how to deal effectively with and prevent any drug related problems in your venue and follows the BII qualification structure, providing a basic knowledge of the law relating to drugs, how to comply with requirements of finding or confiscating drugs, how to implement a drugs strategy,etc.
